About SurfPix
Before SurfPix..
The resurgence of Longboarding in 1988 saw the formation of the Western Province Longboard Surfing Association (WPLBSA). Clive Maasch has been actively involved in WPLBSA from early 1989.
South African Longboard Surfing Association
In 2000 Clive launched www.salsa.co.za, the first Longboarding website in South Africa. SALSA is the official website for the South African Longboard Surfing Association. The website is a media portal for the sport and successfully keeps our members up to date with the latest news as well as providing our sponsors with media coverage.
The SurfPix Concept
Clive's past & current involvement in SALSA as webmaster/media officer coupled with his keen interest in surfing photography lead to the idea of SurfPix.
SurfPix was officially launched in 2006. The website progressed as a surfing photographic website and demand has seen other innovative products and services recently added.

Products & Services
SurfPix offers a range of professional products and services geared toward the sport of surfing. With over 20 years involvement in the sport SurfPix offers professional services such as surfing photography, photo printing & editing, event management, media distribution, websites design and personalized surfer's portfolio's.
SurfPix endeavor's to grow by adding valve in the form of product and services to the surfing community in South Africa and Internationally. We will strive to improve our market offerings by being pro-active to our customer’s demands.

- Jeep SA Longboard Surfing Champs 2008 – Provided all media, photographic and press correspondence services. (May 2007)
- SurfPix will be at the Billabong Pro – JBay 2008

Closing
SurfPix would value invitations to attend prestigious surfing events. Our aim is to raise SurfPix’s visibility within the surfing media community.
Our short-term goal is to play an active role in the promotion of events through our website, newsletters and photographic services.
Our long-term aim is to provide media and photographic services to specific high profile, surfing magazines and product vendors of surfing brands.

- Clive has been surfing since 1973.
- Lives in Noordhoek with his family Cheryl & Greg - Greg also surfs!
- First surfboard - 9ft Whitmore, Second surfboard - 7ft8'' Ocean Delights.
- Currently rides a 9ft Donald Takayama Longboard, 7ft6" Mini Mal, 7ft4" Short Board.
